Collection: 'Tis The Season

Short of deserved, surely unearned,
a season of hope arrives with a birth
The child Jesus
came and He grew,
He loved and was hurt just like me, just like you
hated, rejected, and misunderstood
how? I wonder… when He’s so easy to love
if only we slowed down to listen, slowed down just enough
He speaks and from His Word, we know He is God
Sweet, gentle, honest and meek
a Wise Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace
knowing us, inside and out
every thought, every feeling,
each fear and each doubt
so tell me, then, what’s there to worry about?
in the seasons of Winter, sure, our waiting prolongs
yet the wait is oh so worth it,
for we’ve seen before what He’s done
“For unto us a Child was born”;
‘Tis the season we remember our Savior has come
